AVID’s mission at Pikesville High School  is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID targets those students who are in the academic  middle, underachievers, and/or students with limited exposure to college readiness information and competencies.  AVID prepares students for college success through the AVID classes, which guides students through the college matriculation process. Support and preparation for the PSAT, HSA, SAT, &  AP exams are a part of the AVID program’s curriculum. Students may apply based on the following criteria: Freshmen-2.0 GPA, Sophomores- 2.5 GPA, Juniors-3.0 GPA , and Seniors-3.0 and above.  Please view the application forms on line.
